It’s time to get excited. Women’s footy comes to Old Trinity

Season 2017 is going to be a huge year for the Old Trinity Grammarian’s as we welcome a women’s team to the Club for the first time in our history.

Old Trinity Grammarian’s Women will compete in the Victorian Amateur Football Association’s (VAFA) inaugural women’s football competition. As a foundation club in this historic season, Old Trinity is committed, proud and passionate about empowering women to ‘be all you can be’ and achieve your dreams.

The numbers

  • Training commences 17 January, Marles Playing Fields Bulleen

  • 14 rounds
    From 8 April – 29 July with byes on 15/4, 10/6 & 8/7.
  • Insurance coverage
    As part of our commitment to supporting the wellbeing of our players, both on and off the field, it is important to clarify the extent to which all players are covered by the insurance made available by the club. The extent of insurance coverage is limited and all players are recommended to consider additional personal insurance coverage if you believe the current insurance available does not adequately cover your needs. At present all financial registered players are covered by the following VAFA Insurance Programme:

    Player Injury & Accident:
    • 
    Medical expenses up to maximum of $2,000 (you pay an excess of $100)
    • Paraplegia/Quadriplegia up to maximum of $1,000,000
    • Accidental Death and loss of use up to maximum of $100,000

    This means that there is no cover for loss of income/wages, out of pocket Medicare expenses or ambulance coverage. Attached is the VAFA information brochure in relation to the cover currently provided. 

  • Playing guernsey provided free
    Playing socks and shorts are provided at a small cost.
