It is with heavy hearts that we convey the sad news that, after a spirited battle, Speros Beasley succumbed to cancer this morning aged 55.

Speros has had a profound and lasting effect within the Trinity community, having coached the Under 19 and Development teams – the former to a premiership in 2013 – and been an assistant coach of the Seniors, and his four sons have all been students at Trinity Grammar.

We will always remember his quiet determination and ability to get the best out of his charges. Speros’ intricate knowledge of football tactics was a significant asset, as was his level of preparation.

Speros’ ran a successful accountancy business, but his foremost consideration was always the welfare of his family to who he was devoted.

Our thoughts and best wishes go out to Speros’ wife, Liz, and sons Tom, Ed, Hugh and Charlie.

A Celebration of Speros Beasley’s life is taking place on Thursday 30 November in The Rosina Room at The Convent, Abbotsford at 10.30am.
